Shorncliffe Dive Centre
Welcome to ''Shorncliffe Divecentre'' and firstly thank you for visiting our site. The Dive Centre has been open for 6 years and was set up by Chris Webb. In August 2010 Chris sold the business to Sue Scutchings who is hoping to build on Chris's excellent work to take the Dive Centre to a new level. Things are very much a work-in-progress with regard to this website and the online shop is not currently working. Please telephone the shop on 01303 243149 for anything you need to order. We are open 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 1pm Saturdays and look forward to seeing you. If you are new to diving please email us at info@shorncliffedivecentre.com and we can send you more information and help get you started. You will never be sorry you did! Alternatively for the most up-to-date information please join our Facebook site (Shorncliffe Dive Centre) We have a well-stocked shop offering new and second-hand equipment and have recently changed our prices so we are more competitive with online retailers. Its best to buy local so you can try things on, don't pay postage and support diving locally. After-all you can't buy an airfill online! We teach a range of PADI courses and again many course prices have reduced to match local demand. On some courses we offer a pay-as-you go option so you don't get the whole bill on day 1. CLASSROOM ''Shorncliffe Divecentre'' offers the majority of PADI diver training courses, with our purpose built classrooms - all having air conditioning and the latest computer driven training aids to help your learning process, making your experience fun, easy and comfortable. We can also tailor a "Training Package" for your group if required, with times and dates to suit your busy lifestyles. POOL TRAINING Pool training is completed at our local pool, which is just a 2 minute drive from the divecentre...being 3.8 meters deep and 25 meters long. It is ideal for diver training, offering a safe and controlled environment to master and practice all the necessary skills you will need before you proceed onto the "Open Water" section of your course. Most of the pool training sessions are in the evening , starting at around 6.00pm through to 9.00pm.. After, when all is completed, the crew usually retire to the local pub for a drink and a chat!...and everyone is very welcome to join us.
POOL TRAINING With the enjoyment and comfort of our student divers in mind, Shorncliffe Divecentre has selected this pool to conduct it''s "confined water training" ...And with all things in life - YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR !...And this investment has a bearing on the overall cost of our courses...We dont profess to being the cheapest diver training centre locally, but we do know how to make your training course professional, fun, comprehensive and above all safe!...Ultimately this is the best value when all things are considered.
DOVER STRAIGHTS 2002 - VERY CALM! With over 100 wrecks within 15 miles, Dover and Folkestone offer a great dive destination for the novice or intrepid diver alike...with wreck dives ranging from 15 to 55 meters, there is something for everyone. Call the Divecentre to find out more...and Get Diving. If shore dives are more your thing, no problem, several excellent sites are located close to Dover and Folkestone. BE AFRIAD...BE VERY AFRAID! REX the labrador can often be found mooching around the Divecentre on the hunt for a stray piece of bacon butty kindly donated by a friendly diver ...usually one bite for you and the rest of the entire meal for him!
